The Department of Science and Humanities is committed to establishing a robust intellectual foundation that underpins undergraduate engineering education. The primary goal of the department is to impart comprehensive knowledge in the fundamental sciences and languages namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Tamil, English, and Foreign Languages thereby enabling students to develop strong conceptual understanding and essential academic competencies.

The department seeks to:

Provide a rigorous grounding in basic scientific and mathematical principles that form the core framework of engineering studies.

Cultivate analytical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Enhance linguistic proficiency and communication competence to facilitate effective academic, professional, and global engagement.

Promote interdisciplinary learning, ethical awareness, and scientific temper.

Strengthen the foundational capabilities of students to ensure academic excellence and sustained professional advancement.
