PLANTATION PROGRAMME
As contribution to ‘One Student, One Tree’ initiative launched by our Honourable HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the National Service Scheme(NSS) unit of Aalim Mohammed Salegh College of Engineering has conducted a “One student one Tree” Tree Plantation Programme on 9th August, 2019, between 2.00 to 4.00 pm in our College premises. Dr.K.Suresh kumar, the NSS Programme Officer, organised the event. Nearly 140 student volunteers along with Prof. Dr.M.Afzal Ali Baig, Principal., Prof.Dr.Mohd.F.Shabir, Vice Principal and HODs of various Departments participated in the event. More than 150 saplings were planted in the College premises. Earlier on 05.08.2019, Dr.S.Selvam, former Director, Institute of Industry Collaboration,Anna University and Mrs. Selvam initiated the event by planting few saplings in the campus. This event created awareness on the importance of trees among students and motivated them to plant more trees in their surroundings.
